"God Hates Jedi" & bigotry in his name. I'm looking at you, Westboro Baptist Scum -- via @comicsalliance @geekadelphia & @mikeyil

Above, a Comic-Con attendee gives Westboro douches a taste of their own signage medicine, via comicsalliance.com

A racist, homophobic, sadly, sadly lost group of people who call themselves a church protested at Comic-Con because, well, I'm not sure why.

Sure, there were probably people of other sexual orientations, races, and political stripes there, but Comic-Con isn't your usual display of any of those sorts of freedoms. It's a gathering in celebration of geek freedom.

One sign carried by a Westboro woman at Comic-Con read "Inconvenient Truth: God Hates Divorce."

Is there a comics-divorce correlation I didn't know about?

If anything, you'd think comics reading would correlate negatively with marriageability. : /

"Jedi chapter seeks leader after master resigns" -- Via The Register [Quote]

Chapter founder Daniel Jones told the paper that meetings include "meditation techniques, Jedi theory and lightsaber practice."

They also learn "Jedi mind tricks, or neurolinguistic programming, as a way of dealing with people in a peaceful and calm manner."

You may think these people are lame. I, on the other hand, wish I could join them.

"This *is* the blog you are looking for."
